We do keep this listing very current. New adoptable dogs are posted here weekly, dogs who have been adopted are moved to the Happy Endings page at the end of each adoption day.

Because we are not only a rescue but a sanctuary the dogs who come into our care have a safe place to live until they are adopted, so some of our residents have been in our care for months or even years.

Ace of Hearts (and Zoomies)

The name’s Ace. I'm young, I'm deaf, and I'm rocking this whole “mysterious gentleman with a soft squishy face” thing like it’s a lifestyle. Because it is.
Being deaf just means I live life in silent movie mode with extra dramatic flair and double the facial expressions. I won’t hear your compliments, but I will absolutely accept your snacks and belly rubs like royalty. I use my eyes and nose to take in the world. While it might take me a minute to warm up to new people, once I do, I’m all in. I’m talking goofy wiggles, toy parades, and nap-time snuggles.
I’m still a young pup so I’ve got energy and silliness to spare. I’d love a home that understands that deaf dogs just do things a little differently. I’m working on my training with positive reinforcement, and I’d love someone who’s patient, consistent, and fluent in hand signals (or just really enthusiastic charades).
I like other dogs fine, as long as they know how to respect boundaries. You give me space, I give you zoomies. Fair trade. Cats? Unknown. Let's keep it a mystery novel for now. And tiny kids? Looking for a dog who will be at your beck and call? I’m your boy! I’m a wonderful companion, a real BFF. I know all of my basic commands like sit, back up, down, go to bed, go potty, load up and I have great recall. Pretty smart right?! I’m even house trained and kennel trained.

I’m used to being a bit of a farm dog, even do well around horses. Other dogs are a different story though. Let’s say I choose my company well, so I am selective of my canine friends. I am well behaved around other dogs on leash but will prefer to be the only furry friend in your home.

I’m wonderful with people, love to play fetch and chase my ball. Goodness to I love my ball. I’ll even enjoy the company of older kids 8+ who can keep up with me.

Let me clear this up right away – I’m definitely not named after a calm, gentle breeze. Nope! I’m more like a whirlwind of fun, energy, and love. If you can keep up, I’ll be your nonstop, tail-wagging best friend forever! And the loyalist best friend you'll ever find!

I adore meeting new people! Seriously, if you walk into the room, I’ll be there in a flash, probably with a toy in my mouth because... let’s face it, I’m never without one. Playing is my version of cardio, and I’m ready to do it all day, every day! I’m super clever – like a furry genius, but with a tail that’s always up to something funny. I’m all about a good brain workout… unless it involves ignoring a squeaky toy. That’s just too much to ask! You can ask me to potty outside and be well behaved indoors, cos I already know how to do that!

Hey hey hey! I'm Burger, and no—I'm not edible, but I am a whole snack. Some might call me a little "nervous nugget" at first, but give me some time and I’ll turn into a full-blown Happy Meal (toy included, I bring my own). Strangers are kinda spooky at first, but once I decide you're cool, I’m all in. Like, belly up on the couch in my socks kinda all in.

I’m all about toys! Rubber chickens, squeaky tacos, fluffy dragons, you name it, I’m playing with it. You bring the toys, I bring the party. I play so hard it’s basically a workout. Who needs a gym membership when you’ve got me around?

I’m good with other dogs — I love a solid barkbecue with the crew. With a name like Chase, you'd think I was some wild, high-speed blur zooming across the horizon. The truth is? I’m more of a slow-motion kind of guy, unless there’s a sunbeam involved. Then I will chase that light all the way to a nap.

I'm a Great Dane mix, which means yes, I’m huge. But also yes, I think I’m a lap dog. I live for being right next to my people at all times. If you're brushing your teeth, I'm supervising. If you're cooking dinner, I’m quietly judging your seasoning choices. If you're headed to the couch… oh, buddy, make some room.

I adore toys. Tug ropes, squeakies, the occasional sock I “accidentally” borrow, I’m not picky. Just don’t ask for them back, finders keepers, ya know. I also play really well with other dogs, especially the ones who don’t mind a little goofy giant energy and a lot of floppiness.

I’d do best with kids over the age of 8 who understand that I am not a jungle gym or a climbing wall. I’ve never lived with cats, so to keep the peace, it’s probably best I don’t start now.

I’m Homer and I’ve got more personality than a pizza has toppings, but not everyone likes all the toppings. Everyone has different tastes. Ya know how some people like anchovies on their pizza? I’m kinda like that. Not the right fit for everyone. I’m a very shy guy who will require a lot of patience, don’t expect me to warm up like an oven. I’m an ember you have to tend to, nurture. Hi, I’m Katana, and no, I don’t have a sword, but I can still cut through your heart with my charm. I may sound like a warrior, but trust me, I’m more of a nap enthusiast than a fight starter. In fact, if napping was an Olympic sport, I’d have a gold medal. I’m a big girl, but I promise, I’m a giant teddy bear under all this muscle. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Scratch my belly and you’ll have a best friend for life but I do need a sensei familiar with the mastiff breed.

I get along with other dogs—especially the chill ones, because I’m not into the “zoomie” chaos. We can just hang out, maybe share a snack, and nap (probably nap).
